Service Requester Configuration

The Service Requester Configuration tool is a System Administration tool that allows your organization to tailor the Service Requester to meet your specific needs. You can determine which pages should be displayed, indicate the fields to be shown and/or required, modify the appearance of the tool, and define the integration / start up process.

Access the Service Requester Configuration tool:

  • Select Tools >Work Order > Service Requester Configuration from the Main Menu.

The following tabs are available to configure the Service Requester:

  • Main Menu: The Main Menu tab allows you to specify the pages that requesters can access. You can also use his tab to edit the instructional text displayed at the top of the pages and the field-level help available to users.

  • Submit Service Request: The Submit Service Request tab allows you to specify the fields that should be displayed to requesters and whether or not the user should be required to enter a value in each field. This tab also allows you to specify a title to display at the top of the page and an setting to determine if duplicate request checking should occur.

  • Request Status: The Request Status tab allows you to specify the fields by which requesters can filter when checking on the status of their service request.

  • Appearance: The Appearance tab allows you to modify the general appearance of the Service Requester, such as setting colors and defining the logo or background image to display.

  • Integration: The Integration tab provides the information needed to roll the Service Requester out to your organization. Instructions are provided to give access to all users without the need to register. You can also use a tool to generate an email to prospective users, providing complete registration instructions and the required connection key.

As you make changes to the Service Requester, use the Preview option to see how these modifications appear to requesters using the feature.
